Take A Part In Establishing The Haruv

We are embarking on the establishment of a special project..

 

We are establishing The Haruv– a community pub, which will serve as a meeting place for soldiers, community members, and citizens who need peace accompanied by a special atmosphere. The place is intended to provide a pleasant, high-quality and cohesive space for meeting, resting and having fun together, and to be a warm home for soldiers and anyone looking for a moment of peace, connection and a good atmosphere.

 

The name “Haruv” was chosen for its double meaning – both after Sayeret Haruv IDF Recon Unit, from which some of the project's founders come from, and after the original name of the Community (Eliav) in which it is located, as a connection between identity, history and community. In addition, the pub is established in the first house built in the Community - which adds another layer of roots to this small community that was founded in 2004.

 

The pub was founded by soldiers and fighters who fought in Gaza during the Iron Swords War, out of a sense of mission, pride and a desire to rebuild, create and move forward after the historical and difficult period we are currently going through as a nation. We are a team of four, including a military paramedic, a soldier in the communication gaza division, and two fighters from sayeret Haruv, and Many Supporters who play a large role in helping to establish the project.

 

The pub will combine a classic-vintage atmosphere, with an emphasis on warm and authentic design, alongside the beautiful open landscape.

The area – a combination that creates a unique experience of nature, tranquility and nightlife in the same place.

 

The project was built from scratch, with self-work and an investment of time, equipment and logistics over the coming months, with a target for an initial opening towards the beginning of winter 2026/27.

At this stage, we are entering the initial stages of construction, all while completing the final stages of our army service in Gaza, which makes it difficult to realize the dream and challenges us greatly.
